Mass Intentions
What is a Mass Intention?
Holy Mass is the highest and most powerful form of prayer, the sacrifice of Christ made present for the salvation of the world. By requesting a Mass intention, parishioners unite their personal prayers to Christ’s sacrifice offered on the altar.
Parishioners may offer Mass for thanksgiving (such as birthdays or anniversaries), for special intentions like healing or guidance, or in memorial for those who have died, entrusting them to God's Mercy.
Request a mass intention
There are now two ways to request a Mass Intention:
- E-Transfer: Fill out the form below and e-transfer payment to: office@ourladyoflourdescardiff.ca
- Envelope: Find the Mass Intentions Form at the back of each church. Fill out the form and put your request and payment in an envelope marked "Mass Intentions" and place envelope in the weekend collection basket. You can also find the form Here
By filling out the form below, you consent to your intention being listed on the Parish Bulletin. If you do not wish anything to appear on the Newsletter, please write “Private Intention” in the Mass intention section.
Thank you for providing the requested information. Every attempt will be made to honour one of your date choices unless we have received a previous request from another parishioner.
OFFERING FOR MASS INTENTION
Payment
A voluntary offering may be made when requesting a Mass intention. This offering is not a payment for the Mass. Rather, a Mass offering is a free-will donation that supports the ministry of the Church and its priests.
If you are unable to make an offering, you are still welcome to request a Mass intention.
If you wish to make an offering, you can do so by:
1. Place offering in an envelope marked "Mass Intention" and the completed form and placed into the offertory basket during Mass
2. E-transfer offering to: office@ourladyoflourdescardiff.ca.

Option 1 – During Mass
- Place your completed Mass Intention Request Form and your optional offering in an envelope marked "Mass Intention."
- Place the envelope in the offertory basket during Mass.
Option 2 – By Email and e-Transfer
- Print and complete the Mass Intention Request Form.
- Email the completed form to office@ourladyoflourdescardiff.ca.
- If you wish to make an optional offering, you may send it by e-Transfer through your online banking by selecting Our Lady of Lourdes as the recipient.
- Please include your name and telephone number in the e-Transfer message or comment field so we can match your offering with your request.

2. Print and complete the Mass Intention form then email it to to: office@ourladyoflourdescardiff.ca You can then e-transfer your optional offering by adding "Our Lady of Lourdes" as a payee in the e-transfer section in your online banking. Place your Name and telephone number in the Comment/Message portion of the e-transfer.
